Summer Jewelry is Here
My Summer Collection is finally completed—whew! I have to say this collection was the most challenging for me, reason being I had a hard time finding the right inspiration. People think inspiration will just come to you, but sometimes it needs to be stirred. For this collection I wanted something bold, yet timeless. I must say I’m VERY pleased with the results. Here’s a peek at one of the items I just posted on my Etsy site. This Blue and Brown Flower Statement Necklace took me a while to construct; each petal was created out of a silk fabric. One of my favorite designers the “Slovak Jamaican” Lubica Slovak has teamed up with one of my favorite singers, Tami Chynn and created the most edgy and girly apparel collection ever. Bubbling with excitement, I personally cannot wait until the collection is released. Unveiling the collection on April 7th, Lubica’s designs are definitely must “haves” for the summer.
The Jewelry Box Challenge
After rummaging through a jewelry box from a childhood friend of mine I struck “GOLD,” literally! She had so many lost pieces of jewelry that my creative juices started flowing as I picked out all the odd pieces one by one. Promising to her a special custom piece of jewelry, I tasked myself with the ultimate jewelry challenge of the month. Oh and by the way I actually organized all of her jewelry while another one of my childhood friends shook her head in disbelief. Stay tuned until next month and I’ll reveal what I concocted from all of these pieces. Who knows my next adventure might lead me to your very own jewelry box 🙂
