Holiday season is in full swing and gearing up has been a bit of challenge for me honestly. This one woman show is being thrown into 6th gear. I’m planning on a series of wonderful Make It Monday Series for you starting next week, but I thought it would be great to revive an older DIY Style video because it’s a quick and easy DIY that can come in handy this holiday season as you prep your outfits for parties galore. Here goes! Also, be sure to subscribe to my list, to welcome the newcomers I’m offering 30% off my jewelry items to all first time subscribers 🙂
TGIF, let’s make this weekend a stylish one. Check out my new collection The Arches in copper.
Mark your calendars. Actually you won’t need to mark your calendars, if you are already on my list you get to shop my NEW collection first. Now since this is a mini-collection I’ve only created a few of each piece, but if you have subscribed to my list you will have the opportunity to get your hands on it first before I open it up to the general public. Sweet right? Just be sure to check your email first thing Monday, September 21st. Not on my list? Join it
Over the weekend I had a blast at a photo shoot for the collection with the talented Christina Simkovich, who did her thing modeling my creations, along with photographer Okieto Campbell (yes, being married to a photography has its benefits). Here’s a sneak peek at a couple of shots that I snagged with my iPhone.
Although my jewelry style is minimalistic, I was just telling a friend of mine the other day that coming up with jewelry designs can be challenging at times when I’m not in the right frame of mind. Many people ask where I get my inspiration from and to be honest there’s no one answer. If I had to narrow it down though I would definitely say I’m very inspired by other women’s personal style. There’s nothing more inspiring than seeing a woman wearing something in a completely different way than it was intended for. I think that’s why I love doing custom designs because it gives the customer a chance to help create something they have a vision for. One thing I do miss about living in NYC is walking down the street admiring the different street styles, the personal touches to one’s outfit, not to mention the “IDAF” I’m going to wear this however I want because that’s how I like it mentality, lol.

Many of the jewelry pieces I create are quite versatile and I do that on purpose because I believe that accessories definitely make the look more complete. Minimalistic style jewelry can be eye catching and simple and that it can transition from outfit to outfit. This is the main reason I work with metals.

For this collection I drew inspiration from the architecture of buildings and bridges. Have you ever just stopped and looked at the shapes and beauty of an actual building or bridge? I was particularly intrigued by the arches of bridges, which is where I drew most of my inspiration from. There’s just something completely amazing about the creation of these beauties.
In 14 days I’ll be launching my newest collection called Arches. Be the first to shop the collection by subscribing to my list . Check out some of my sketches from my sketch pad peek .
